What are my options?
For many London Living Rent residents, Shared Ownership provides an accessible and affordable way to buy a home.
With Shared Ownership, you purchase a percentage of your home (which you pay mortgage on) and pay subsidised rent to us on the rest (so we own a portion of the home too). It is more affordable because you are buying a smaller share of the home, so you will have a smaller deposit and smaller mortgage to pay. Over time, you may be able to increase your ownership through a process known as staircasing.

Frequently Asked Questions
We are offering a £2,000 purchase incentive to help you buy a home. We are also offering residents a free financial assessment with our mortgage partner so you can better understand what’s affordable and what options are available.
The financial assessment helps establish exactly what's affordable and whether schemes such as Shared Ownership could provide a route into home ownership that may be more achievable than expected.
The purpose of the assessment isn't to commit you to purchasing today. It's simply to understand what your financial position looks like and what steps may help you become ready in the future.
This depends on your individual property and tenancy. Our team can discuss whether this may be an option for you and outline any alternatives that may be available.
The incentive is available to eligible London Living Rent residents who complete a successful financial assessment, meet the eligibility requirements and proceed with the purchase of an eligible home within the timescale set out by NHG. Terms & Conditions apply. Speak to our team for more information.
