Choose Hounslow for your First Home

Hounslow is a large suburban district of West London that rubs shoulders with Hammersmith, Hillingdon, and Richmond-upon-Thames. The London borough is celebrated for its diversity, beautiful green spaces, and abundance of multi-cultural food and fashion stores. Residents of Hounslow benefit from urban convenience as well as the peace and tranquillity of a more suburban neighbourhood.

The Treaty Centre on the high street is a shopping centre that hosts more than 50 of the best high-street brands, including H&M, Pandora, and Next. Chiswick, western Hounslow, is the picturesque home of independent shops and boutiques, as well as fantastic wine bars and gastropubs. Local favourites are Vinoteca and The George IV.

Chiswick is home to a Waitrose and hosts The Food Market every Sunday from 10am-2pm at The Pavillion, where browsers can purchase the finest natural produce, from olives and artisan pastries, to local veg, cheeses, and cider.

Hounslow holds five stately homes, the most notable being Syon House and Osterly House. Syon House sits in Syon Park, a 200-acre space containing a conservatory, gardens, parkland, trees, grasslands, and meadows. The immensity of the site transports you to the depths of the countryside whilst only being nine miles from Charing Cross. Osterly House rests within National Trust site, Osterly Park – a similarly grand estate with spectacularly colourful gardens. Botanical must-see, Kew Gardens – which contains over 40,000 living plants – is also on the periphery and holds a range of events throughout the year.
